On January 16, 2020 FOSCO International School held its annual Winter Olympics. As the 2020 Summer Olympics come to Asia (Tokyo 2020) we made sure our event was nothing short of the action that will take place in Tokyo this summer! Students and staff came to school in sports attire willing and ready to give their team their maximum effort in some friendly competition.
We kicked of our event with some opening words and warm-up stretches led by Mr. James and Mr. Noel to get students amped up for the event. Our youngest students (Nursery-K2) went into the small playground to engage in some structured physical activities. The Kindergarten-Grade 5 students had the chance to compete in the following game activities: USA Football Toss; Soccer Shootout; Target Practice; Basketball Free Throw; Bag Toss; and 3 Legged Relay Race.
We announced the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for each team followed by the winner for the 2020 FIS Winter Olympics. The winning team went to the Red Team coached by Ms. Susan! We closed out the event with a buffet to give the students the opportunity to mingle with their fellow teammates. This was a fun and exciting event to help promote healthy lifestyles and sportsmanship in our young students.
