International Day 2019

International Day

On Friday, October 11, 2019 FOSCO International School came together to celebrate International Day.  Children and teachers were in attendance and many dressed in traditional clothing from many different countries across the world.  We were also joined by the Russian School next door to us.

The event started with a parade around the school campus.   Subsequently, our Academic Director, Mr. Nick, said a few words before we kicked-off the event with a fashion show for students to take a look at all the amazing traditional clothes.  We followed that up with some great class performances from our Grade 5 class and Kindergarten-A class.  The Russian School displayed a strong performance of their own!  We awarded prizes for best projects/posters and costumes.

Students were given printed passports to take to different activity stations where they would receive a stamp.  Activity stations consisted of the following countries: UK; Ireland; Canada; Indonesia; Mexico; Vietnam; and Chinese calligraphy.  Once students received a stamp from each station, they received a small souvenir from our Management Team.  It was a great interactive and educational experience for our students to learn about the many different languages, foods, traditions, and customs across the world.  The event culminated with some lunch for everybody to enjoy.
